New Years 2012 - Jan 2013 illustrations

Here are a few illustrations that I've developed during New Years and the month of january.

The Black Knight.
I started with a sketch, then colored it in greyscale. After that I have painted over it/airbrushed it and threw in a desert/temple to show a bit of coolness lol. Coloring of course was done on Photoshop CS5. It took about 7 hrs to finished, and last of all I added a blur effect to add a bit of dynamics to the illustration. This is a character that I created for fun. He is called " The Black Knight". He is a ancient and powerful spirit who describes himself as the "Spirit of Halloween". A ruthless knight, The Black Knight lives to strike terror and fear to anyone who crosses his path. He usually rides His dark steed, called the "Nightmare Horse". And His weapon, called the "Soul Reaper", which when the blade touches anybody; will send that victim to another dimension where there worst fears are realized. The black flames that his sword generates are capable of burning through most anything in their path, even smothering regular fire techniques with ease. The only way the "The Black Knight" can exist is if the person were to put on his helmet; which in turn, will allowed him to possess the current wearer.
